This entirely no-sew, join-as-you-go, chunky granny square pattern is more of a guide on how to make your perfect granny square sweater for all sizes and all lengths! With so many customizations, this pattern can be used over and over again to create unique sweaters for you or anyone who loves granny squares! Use this as a stash buster or as a scrap project, as the inside of each square is perfect for getting rid of those scraps.
This pattern is equipped with in-depth instruction and detailed, step-by-step photos, making this a great beginner friendly pattern. (Basic crochet knowledge still required. There will be instruction on how to make a basic granny square as well. You must know how to make a magic circle, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch).
This pattern is an interactive PDF file, meaning there are links that will lead you to different pages within the PDF, links to web pages, and links to the pattern testers at in the final page! These usually will be underlined and blue, however there are some links that are not, mainly just the header (our site and social link). It is best viewed on iPads, but of course also work great on iPhones and Laptops! It can be printed as well, just keep in mind you will have to rescale to fit on the page correctly.

This is a fairly quick project, considering it is a no sew and join as you go pattern which cuts down the time significantly, and it is made with chunky yarn!
For the grey sweater, I did not time it, but I would estimate it took about 25 hours to complete.
For the ecru sweater, I also did not time it, but it was finished within 48 hours! I would estimate it took about 15-18 hours to complete.
*As always, time will vary for each crocheter depending on general speed, tension, yarn weight, and size. This is just so you have an idea for how long it will take you, as I myself like to know before starting a project! For reference, I’m a slightly faster than average crocheter with loose tension.*
